Physical Geography > Gaia Hypothesis
The following information is about Gaia Hypothesis.
Gaia Hypothesis Defined
The Gaia hypothesis states that the temperature and composition of the Earth's surface are actively controlled by life on the planet. It suggests that if changes in the gas composition, temperature or oxidation state of the Earth are induced by astronomical, biological, lithological, or other perturbations, life responds to these changes by growth and metabolism.

- The Girl Who Rode Dolphins by Michael J. Ganas: This novel was an incredible read. I strongly recommend this epic thriller to anyone who enjoys a mix of action-adventu re heavily spiced with science fiction and fantasy. It will make you think differently about the planet and where it is headed. Although it is the author's first novel, the quality of writing is exceptional. Already his book has won an award as Best Science Fiction Epic Adventure of 2008, as chosen by BooksandAuthor s.net.
